Whilst many of the Grantham Running Club members were completing the
elsewhere husband and wife team Yvonne and Brendon Buckley were
completing the annual Keswick Half Marathon in the Lake District. The
event generally attracts some 1000 runners from all over the country.
The race started just outside Keswick heading up the 1300ft climb into
Newlands Valley before dropping back down to the picturesque Derwent
Water and back into the finish in Keswick. Yvonne finished in 2:49:07
and Brendon just behind in 2:52:49.
