Leicester Half Marathon

Much like all other races in the east midlands taking place on Halloween the Leicester half marathon took place in very wet conditions. It was so sodden that some sections had runners passing through ankle deep water.

There was something slightly ironic that the conditions for runners underfoot improved slightly as they passed through watermead Park at half way and began the run back to Victoria Park.

GRC's Chris Limmer was hoping to run close to 1:25 but unfortunately the conditions meant he ran a little slower in the first half but was at least able to overtake others in the final few miles. Chris finished in 1:28:24 and while a little disappointed can at least be happy to have got under the 90 minute barrier.
