Peterborough Grand Prix Series - Werrington

Grantham Running Club's new girl, Sarah Chynoweth made a stunning road debut at the final round of the Peterborough Grand Prix in Werrington last Wednesday where she beat the old club record by 40 seconds! Although she normally specializes in mountain marathons she decided to try her hand at this flat fast route to try out her speed and wasn't disappointed with a time of 19:50 to give her her first ever UKA road ranking. One of GRC's former leading ladies, Abi Schofield also took part as she continued her return to running after the birth of her twins taking 2½ minutes off her time from her first run as a mother some four weeks before. Completing the line up for GRC was veteran Robert McArdle whose 22:38 gave him 134th place moving him 16 points up the leader board.
