Leigh-on-Sea 10k

Katie said afterwards "It is an undulating route and tough for a PB at the best of times, but there was an unfortunate ‘wardrobe malfunction’ at 4K. The ladies of the club will know that it requires contortionist skills a circus performer would be proud of to get a back-fastening running bra on at the best of times. Let’s just say that it is even less easy when it pops open mid race and you have to try and fasten it at the side of the road!

Wardrobe malfunctions aside it was a slightly confusing run, as for safety reasons (we presume problems of congestion on the narrow sea shore path last year) the route had been switched to the reverse direction of last year. Meant there was a 400 metre hill climb at 8k when the legs were not exactly fresh, but the reversed route did mean a nice sprint finish down a steep hill at the end.
Was hoping to pip in under the hour but I got a chip time of 1:00:12!
